How mainstream institutions can learn to support social economies of care (CAR)

Description

Leafhus is a community initiative that empowers villages to self-organize and meet the needs for a good quality of life, all within the framework of a social enterprise. The focus of our analysis is on how regular public and private governance mechanisms inhibit social economies from flourishing and what could be done to change inhibiting into supporting.

Aim

CAR studies what is needed in terms of governance transformation in order to enable the innovative solutions found by communities (such as social enterprises) to maintain basic services, thereby ensuring a good quality of life for both old and young inhabitants.
