Housing Accessibility & Autonomy in Rural areas through SEE & SI (HAR)

Description

The House of Solidarity (HoS) initiative promotes housing access and autonomy for vulnerable groups in the Eisack Valley, South Tyrol. The case study explores the factors that support or hinder the development of solutions to housing deprivation inspired by Social and Solidarity Economy (SSE).

Aim

The HoS case study examines the strategies and collaborations employed to address housing deprivation in a rural area, focusing on HoS’ ability to bridge policy domains and facilitate local community connections. It also investigates the role of public and private stakeholders in supporting these efforts and evaluate the impact of HoS initiatives on the well-being of beneficiaries. Finally, there is an assessment of whether the strategies address the underlying drivers or merely the effects of vulnerability.
