Ecological food and local bonds (ECO)

Description

The case focuses on addressing children’s nutritional needs by supporting healthy agri-food systems in local areas. It tackles the vulnerabilities faced by both rural and urban populations, with particular attention to two often marginalised groups in policy discussions: children and women farmers.

Aim

This study takes under examination the following questions: what is the role of safe and sustainable agri-food systems in addressing vulnerabilities in rural areas? How does “Eco-comedores” initiative engage with these vulnerabilities?
